Sid Meier Hits Humble Bundle
Random fact here: Did you know that Sid Meier actually has very little to do with the games that bear his name? In fact, he has had virtually no input on Civilization games since the first incarnation. However, his name is used as a form of branding. It has been that way for years, and it will be like that way for years to come. After all, almost all of us associate Sid Meier’s name with top strategy games, right? Anyway, I digress. I just wished to share a cool bit of information that I picked up the other day.
Now, if you are fan of the Sid Meier strategy games then you are going to want to head on other to Humble Bundle today. You can pick up a good collection of them for use through Steam at bargain basement prizes.
For just a single dollar you will be able to grab the following games:
- Civilization 3 Complete Edition
- Civilization 4 Complete Edition
- Sid Meier’s Ace Patrol
- Sid Meier’s Pacific Skies
- Sid Meier’s Railroads!
That is hundreds of hours of gameplay for not a whole lot money. I seriously doubt that anybody would turn their nose up at that. You really can’t get better than what is on offer there, right? Well, yes you can. You see, Humble Bundle works on a ‘pay what you want system’. That brings me onto the second lot of games you can score:
- Civilization 5
- Civilization 5: Gods & Kings Expansion Pack
If you pay more than the average price of what people are currently purchasing the bundle for, then you will be able to pick up these two awesome games. When I purchased the bundle the price was set at 4 shiny bucks. Right now though, it is erring near 9 (still a good deal though). If you pay more than 15 then you will also secure the Civilization 5 expansion ‘Brave New World’.
What’s more, more games are going to be added next Tuesday. You are going to need to beat that average price now though. It is creeping up slowly however, so do make sure that you get in there quick. Nobody knows what games are going to be added next week. I am personally hoping for Sid Meier’s Pirates! Though. Of course, whatever happens, we can be sure that a high quality game is going to be making its way to your Steam Library pretty soon. Perhaps never to be used if you have already built up a bit of a backlog due to these awesome Humble deals. Although let’s be honest, us deal hunters do prefer to boost about the games that we have rather than play them (*cough* over 4,000 games in my collection)
